Advice For Stranded Travellers
Advice For Stranded Travellers
As I reported here yesterday, we have a significant number of constituents stranded overseas. Myself and other MPs around the country have been putting pressure on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to bring them home.
The Government today said it is committing £75m to help those Britons who are trapped abroad.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Department for Trade have signed a memorandum of understanding with a group of airlines – Virgin, EasyJet, Jet2 and Titan Airways. They will help travellers who have tickets and where there are still commercial routes available.

Travellers will be allowed to use different carriers or fly on different days.
