The 2C Sunday Service Is Back!

Cat has been liaising with Blackpool Transport to bring back the 2C Sunday bus service – and its happening!

From June 23, the 2C Sunday bus service is back – new and improved!

The first bus will leave Knott End at 09:30 and the last one will leave the village at 18:30 – and not only that but we’ll be able to travel in luxury on a new iconic Palladium bus fitted with WiFi, e-leather seating and wood effect flooring!

“Every week constituents would tell me how much they missed their Sunday bus service,” said Cat. “Young people were struggling to get to work, families found visiting friends and relatives in hospital impossible and our much-valued elderly residents missed meeting friends for tea and a bun at Cleveleys! It’s been a top priority for me to liaise with Blackpool Transport to bring this service back and I’d like to thank Managing Director Jane Cole for her support in making this happen.”

Come and meet Cat and the Blackpool Transport team on Saturday June 15 at 10am outside the Working Men’s Club in Knott End village when they’ll unveil the new Knott End Palladium!

USE IT OR LOSE IT!

We’re delighted to be bringing back the 2C bus service but ‘if we don’t use it we’ll lose it.’

The service will be reviewed monthly during the summer season. Please ensure Blackpool Transport continues to be able to run the service by regularly using it.

Cat says, “It’s incredibly important that we take advantage of this service. Maybe ditch the car for the day and make the most of a relaxing journey between here and the tourism capital of the country! Take advantage of the service and visit loved ones in hospital. It would be great if the local community perhaps arranged a monthly away-day picnic on the bus during the summer or perhaps events like a monthly Knott End street market would bring people into this amazing area on the bus.”
