On Sunday I attended a moving service at St Nicholas Church in Fleetwood to mark Sea Sunday. This is an annual event that’s taken place every July for the last 160 years. Church’s across the world hold a special gathering to think and pray about the lives of seafarers, their families and those who support them. With such a proud tradition of seafaring here in Fleetwood and with one of the country’s leading nautical colleges here in the town it’s apt that we should mark this special day.
