Blackpool Transport extends the Saturday evening service!
Blackpool Transport extends the Saturday evening service!

I’m delighted to reveal that the I’ve now negotiated an extension to the Saturday evening 2C bus service into November – and you won’t need to pre-book!

Customers will be able to travel from Knott End to Poulton in the usual way using any concessionary or saver ticket they might have. It also means the later buses will run from Blackpool, giving the opportunity for even more customers to use the bus.

There will also be subsequent later departures from Knott End. The timetable is now available on Blackpool Transport’s website and their very useful app.

I know this will be particularly welcome in the run up to Christmas but we are still in a trial period so remember USE IT OR LOSE IT! So far the extension is scheduled until November so if we want to be be able to enjoy public transport over the festive period we need to make the most of it now. Blackpool Transport will continue to monitor customer usage and as long as they break even they’re happy to carry on providing this service through their commitment to supporting our rural areas. I continue to be very grateful to the Managing Director Jane Cole and her fantastic team.

Customer numbers for the 2C Sunday service have been down during August – this may be because people are away or the weather has been rubbish. I know I’m repeating myself but if we want the service to continue we need to use it!
