There’s still no date for the safety works to take place at the junction of Burned House Lane in Preesall – the site of so many near misses. In the last month both a police car and a 2c bus have been recorded on CCTV failing to stop at the junction.

I’ve published the response from Lancashire County Council’s Highways Department below and all I can say in the meantime is please please be extra careful and vigilant when approaching this junction.

Fingers crossed nothing serious happens between now and the roadworks taking place.
