I’m thrilled that Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs has officially launched… a first for the North West of England and another fantastic achievement for Fleetwood!

The town now boasts a fleet of specially adapted chairs available to hire, free of charge, from Central Promenade, just along from the Marine Hall. The wheelchairs have been designed to be light and manoeuvrable on sand and shingle and give access to the coastline for individuals with limited mobility.

If you’d like to hire a chair they are available from the rear of the Central Prom café. Car-parking is available by turning onto Promenade Road off the Esplanade, opposite the Mount Hotel, postcode FY7 6QE.
