Cat Smith Working for Lancaster and Fleetwood
Cat put politics to one side at the weekend and instead laced up her running shoes to raise money for Cancer Research.
“I’ve only just taken up running but its amazing that a hobby can also help raise much needed funds for research into all 200 types of cancer,” said Cat who completed a 5K Race For Life virtual event by running around her neighbourhood. “I can’t wait to have the experience of running with other people once mass participation events start to open up again.”
Over the past 20 years, more than 8 million people have taken part in the Race for Life, raising over £547 million to fund the charity’s life-saving work.
“I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored me and helped me raise £490,” Cat said. “I’m now looking for my next running challenge!”
