Congratulations to the team at The Stork in Conder Green who have turned what was nearly a tragedy into an amazing triumph!

In January 2020 a devastating fire ripped through the Grade II listed building and we all wondered if it would be possible for the inn to ever reopen.

Now, after considerable investment and building work, the hotel – which has been at the heart of the community since at least 1666 – has been given a new lease of life.

Last night the hotel was full with a wedding party – and despite guests being a tad bleary eyed this morning they nevertheless had nothing but high praise for the beautiful hotel rooms and fabulous service! (Their Christmas menu looks great too!)

After such a difficult time for the hospitality industry its a relief to see businesses get back on their feet. I wish the team the very best in the months to come.
