Well done to Fleetwood Town Council and all the other amazing people and community groups who came together for one of the best ever Christmas Lights Switch On events.
For the first time, the event was staged over two days with a range of activities across the town on both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday evening saw the return of the lantern parade down Lord Street which attracted a a huge turn-out from local families.
Fleetwood Old Boys Band, a heritage bus, a switch-on concert featuring Larkholme School choir, the Starmaker theatre group and father-and-son singing duo Wal and Dion Mitchinson – it was all fantastic and my little lad was transfixed by the amazing lights.
Wyre Council, Fleetwood Town Council and the Festive Lights Committee should be very proud!
