Cat Smith Working for Lancaster and Wyre

Mike Stevens from BBC Radio Lancashire has been in touch with me, with some exciting news!
Three of the finalists in their Make a Difference Awards 2022 are from the Lancaster and Fleetwood constituency! I knew we were a talented lot here in North Lancashire but this now proves it!
Congratulations to:
- Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs (The Community Group Award)
- Celia Sykes from Lancaster (The Key Worker Award)
- Carter’s Charity Primary School Eco Warriors (The Environmental Award)
BBC Radio Lancashire created the Make a Difference Awards to recognise remarkable people across the county; marking their achievements and contributions to their communities.
The eight categories range from great neighbours and inspirational teachers, to thoughtful volunteers and outstanding key workers.
Public nominations took place earlier this year and winners will be announced in September.
Good luck everyone! I can’t wait to hear how you all get on, and no matter what happens in September, you’re all winners to me!
