City's Heritage Must Be Preserved says Cat

Like so many Lancastrians, myself and local Labour Party members were shocked to read about the condition of The Alexandra Hall in the City Centre, and the way this building has been left exposed to the elements to decay. This is a Grade II listed building and an important landmark for many as you enter the City Centre.

That’s why myself and local Labour Party members are calling on the City Council to take action: the building’s owner must make the property watertight and come up with a plan for the historic building’s future. If the owner can’t do this, then we’re calling on Lancaster City Council to issue a Compulsory Purchase Order to protect the building’s future.

We must not allow our City’s heritage to be lost like this. My letter is below:
