Cat writes to United Utilities

Businesses and residents in the Lancaster City Centre, Freehold and Marsh areas have been in touch with me to advise that they have been without running water since this morning.

Sadly this has meant the closure of GP surgeries requiring residents to divert to very busy and delayed 111 NHS services, along with causing huge disruption across the cite centre and for households.

Residents and businesses have been reporting the issue on the United Utilities website, but the auto-response has not been followed up by any communication, and I see no updates on the United Utilities social media Twitter channel.

I have asked for immediate action and reassurance from United Utilities to reconnect the city of Lancaster back to the main water supply.

If you are experiencing issues in the area, please report the issue with United utilities here: https://www.unitedutilities.com/emergencies/report-a-problem/

Please also get in touch with me at cat.smith.mp@parliament.uk if you continue to experience difficulty.
