Cat Smith Working for Lancaster and Wyre
As well as asking the EA to take action to close the site until a permanent cap to the toxic odour is in place, one week on from Transwaste failing to comply with the Environment Agency’s notice myself and Cllr Lorraine Beavers are now asking Wyre Council as the landlords of the site to do the same.
Not only that, but we are frustrated that residents have to dual report each incident to both the Environment Agency and to Wyre Council – including with diary sheets which are difficult to obtain and return as Wyre Council do not have an office in Fleetwood. This is unfair, where is the common sense? Residents should not have to do this, and we want to put it right.
