This list is not mine, it bears the weight and power of thousands of your voices – and it’s an honour to represent them in Parliament.
It’s a reminder of how lucky I am to have this opportunity. Thank you to all of you, especially those who will no longer be in the new constituency, such as the residents of Fleetwood and the Lower Lune Valley.
As well as getting started on fixing our broken economy and public services, I hope to champion your priorities and aspirations for the next five years as your MP for Lancaster and Wyre.
We live in a beautiful area. The hustle-and-bustle of an historic cultural city brimming with small independent businesses and a thriving higher education sector at the forefront of climate and health innovation, alongside the close-knit rural village life with renewable energy and sustainable agricultural vitality that keeps Britain powered, fed and connected โ and all this on the doorstep of the cracking views across national landscapes like Morecambe Bay, the Forest of Bowland and the Lake District.
Itโs a vision of what Britain can aspire to be when we come together and harness our potential.
So let’s roll up our sleeves and get the positive change our area deserves, and #VoteLabour!
