Thank you. We have a Labour government!

It’s an honour to be elected to serve as the Member of Parliament for the new Lancaster and Wyre constituency. Thank you to all those who put their trust in me and in Labour and voted for me yesterday. And to those who didn’t, I will work for all our communities across this diverse constituency. I will seek to gain your trust and will always be our voice in Parliament speaking up for the things that matter to you.

So many of you stepped up and volunteered in the campaign. Giving up your time and making sacrifices to see “Labour Gain” flash up on the TV coverage in the early hours of this morning. Thank you for being a part of making history.

For the first time, I’m not going to be the only Labour MP travelling down to represent our beautiful corner of Lancashire on green benches. I’m so excited to be joined by Morecambe and Lunesdale’s Labour MP Lizzi Collinge!

Politics is about public service, and I will serve everyone in Lancaster and Wyre. Constituency and country first, party second.
