Cat Smith Working for Lancaster and Wyre

In recent weeks, we have seen a number of tragic accidents on the M6 which have closed the motorway and caused traffic chaos for many.
It is clear to me that something needs to be done about this, so I wrote to National Highways (who manage the M6) asking them to conduct a Safety Review in order to examine what can be done to make the section between Junctions 32 and 34 safer.
I am pleased that National Highways will be going ahead with this Safety Review over the course of the coming year, and will be making representations to National Highways calling for better lighting and the possibility of an additional junction.
