I recently had the pleasure of visiting the award-winning Estuary Riverside Chalets in Wyre, a truly exceptional example of accessible holiday accommodation done right.

I was warmly welcomed by Elaine, the business owner and host, whose dedication and attention to detail are immediately evident. Elaine goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest, regardless of their individual needs, has a perfect stay. From fully wheelchair-accessible features to subtle design elements that prioritise ease and dignity, it’s clear that every decision has been made with care and compassion.

During my visit, I was delighted to meet Paul and his family, who were enjoying their second stay at The Estuary after travelling from Glasgow. They told me that this is the best get-away they’ve found, not just for accessibility, but also for the warm welcome, high standard of comfort, and the ability to truly relax knowing that everything they need is catered for. Hearing directly from guests, who spoke so highly of their experience, really brought home just how important this kind of accommodation is.
