The road conditions on Broadway have been a disgrace for years.

I pushed Lancashire County Council to resurface Broadway in April last year – and they said no.

Later in June I pointed out that the road met every single one of their technical criteria for resurfacing, such as its strategic significance, access to public services, priority gritting status, overall base condition, and safety defects –  and asking for it to be looked at again to be placed on the list of roads for resurfacing.

Now, I am delighted to share with you that LCC have agreed to resurface Broadway in their schedule of works for 2022!

I hope that this will come as a huge relief to Larkholme residents in particular, who have had to put up with these awful road conditions for years and years.
