Cat Smith Working for Lancaster and Fleetwood
Months on I’m still fighting for post-box provision on Quernmore Road.
Earlier this year in March I secured a meeting with the Minister for Postal Affairs, who I met with in April, where he promised to get the post-box provision sorted.
In May, the Minister updated me to advise that he had failed to do this, but I wasn’t ready to give up.
I’m still fighting for this, because residents in this corner of the world have been poorly served for years, especially now that they have had two post-boxes taken away.
Today I have written to Royal Mail again, asking that they work with the Co-Op on Quernmore Road to establish a post-box, which I think is an excellent place for residents to be able to access post services.
