Collision - Burned House Lane
Collision - Burned House Lane

As you know I’ve written to both the police and Lancashire County Council regarding safety concerns on Burned House Lane. As promised here is the response from the Highways Operational Support & Liaison Manager at LCC. Get in touch with me if you have further concerns.

Dear Ms Smith,

Thank you for your email of 20 December 2018 on behalf of your constituent regarding suggestions for how to improve the Burned House Lane junction in Pilling.

Safety Engineering colleagues have recently undertaken a road safety study at this location. A series of changes are being proposed including a potential reduction in speed limit. This scheme proposal along with others throughout Lancashire are being submitted to Cabinet for approval for funding.

It will be for a programme of works covering 2 years. If funding is approved then the first step would be more detail design considerations and consultation with the local community.

Yours sincerely

Sarah Waterhouse
