As I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve contacted Lancashire County Council raising concerns about the lack of a bus service during the current roadworks. Below is the response I’ve received from Sarah Waterhouse, the Highways Operational Support and Liaison Manager. Please let me know if the absence of a bus service prevents you from accessing medical appointments or services at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. I’m delighted staff from Fleetwood’s Charity CofE Primary School have made arrangements for a Walking Bus next week to alleviate parking problems on Park Lane. I’m sure if drivers are using this route they’ll want to slow down to make sure all the children get to school safely.
