Finding and supporting alternatives to fossil fuels and promoting the transition to a zero-carbon economy is crucial to meet our climate obligations.

I was delighted to visit exciting Lancaster based company NanoSUN to learn more about their pioneering work aiming to accelerate fuel cell use by providing innovative solutions to hydrogen storage, refuelling and purification.

Hydrogen is a zero-carbon fuel, and the use of hydrogen fuel cells is a great way to generate pollution free electricity. With no carbon emissions, noise, or nasty pollution hydrogen cells offer the potential to transform the way that we approach transport in the UK – and can be a major step in the transition to a zero-carbon economy.

The team at NanoSUN are a shining example of the type of highly skilled economy which we can create as part of a real commitment to a zero-carbon economy and a Green Industrial Revolution.
