Cat Smith Working for Lancaster and Wyre

I recently contacted Asda, highlighting my concerns that care homes in the constituency were struggling to get regular access to essential supplies. I asked whether they could offer priority delivery slots to care homes during the Covid-19 pandemic.
I’m delighted that Asda is now giving the care homes, that are existing Asda customers, a priority pass, providing early visibility of delivery slots and allowing them to get their full weekly shop for their residents through the online shopping service.
In total, the company is helping 3,500 care homes that are existing Asda customers.
In addition, care homes are still struggling to get access to PPE and from mid-May, Asda will donate 250,000 medical grade face masks to help keep care home workers and their residents safe.
The Fleetwood store continues to welcome care workers for priority access on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays between 8-9am and in an exclusive browsing hour every Sunday from 9-10am.
