Over the last 6 years there’s been over a million sewage spills in England. One every two-and-a-half minutes.
According to research by the Good Law Project, United Utilities dumped the most sewage in 2022. The impact of this is well known: risks to human health, marine life, and we have already seen some rivers in England declared ‘ecologically dead’ .
This cannot continue.
That’s why I’m asking you to sign my petition so that I can show the Government and United Utilities the strength of local feeling and tell them that people across Lancaster, Over Wyre and Fleetwood are saying enough is enough.
