Cat Smith Working for Lancaster and Fleetwood
Nearly two weeks have passed since the collapse of Moor Gate by St Peter’s Road due to a severely flooded drain.
Lancaster Area Police updated residents on 18th June, having notified United Utilities of the roads becoming completely inaccessible due to the blocked drain.
Shortly afterwards, a large portion of Moor Gate completely collapsed. Along with the causal drain issue and noted weaker pressure in the area by residents, the wider impact of this is causing major traffic issues at key school and commuter times.
Nearly two weeks on, the road is still not repaired. United Utilities need to act now, and I have written to them to ask what they are doing about it.
