Cat with volunteers from The Olive Branch

Last week I visited the incredible team over at The Olive Branch.

Not only do they provide food parcels to families and individuals in times of need, they have a welcoming, safe space where service users can speak with team members and volunteers for guidance and advice.

I can’t thank them enough for the work that they do, especially during such turbulent times where their services are needed more than ever. Foodbanks across our city rely on charitable donations and with the cost of everything rising, some have reported a significant decline in their stocks.

If you can, Foodbanks like the Olive Branch really need our help to sustain their critical output. Items like canned meat, olive oil, cereal and sanitary products are desperately needed and as we look ahead to Christmas small gift items like socks, bubble bath and toys would really brighten up Christmas for so many people and their families.
