As we approach Christmas, I am trying to make sure, both as a mum and as a MP, that the real meaning of Christmas is front and centre of how I mark this special time of the year. The shops are full of the festive foods and decorations, and it would be so easy to get lost on the tinsel and trees. The reason I celebrate Christmas is because of my faith. The gift giving, quality family time and fancy food are all an added bonus for me.

As well as celebrating the birth of Christ, every year I like to shine a light on people who make our community such a special place!

There are so many brilliant charities, independent businesses and community organisations that make our area a better place and in the spirit of Christmas, I’d like to show my appreciation to a community champion by giving them a Christmas Bouquet, and I would like to hear from you!
