I was so pleased to meet with Suzie and Lou who run the LM Debt Centre in partnership with Christians Against Poverty. Alongside their team of amazing volunteers, they reach out to local people that are in debt and help them work out an affordable budget and a route out of debt.

Suzie and Lou told me that they really get to know the people they support that are often suffering with many other struggles on top of being in debt. They really put an emphasis on finding the root causes that has led someone to acquire debt and work from there.

We discussed also how much of an impact the rising cost-of-living is having on the lives of hardworking people, as well as the detrimental affect easily accessible credit schemes like Klarna are having, pushing people further and further into unmanageable debt.
