Residents of the St Michael’s View development in Cockerham have been raising their concerns to me about the unfinished development, as well as the confusing nature of the three closely-related development companies involved in the build – as well as their current financial and operating status.

I have been in touch with the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government to try and make this right, and give residents the peace of mind they deserve in their new homes.

Sadly defending constituents against developers acting poorly is something I find myself having to with increasing frequency. This includes in areas such as Forton and Pilling, where there are a number of issues on new-build estates relating to unfinished public area works and public transport difficulties which are of constant frustration for residents.

I will keep pushing to strengthen rights for residents who have been hung out to dry by developers.
