𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝-𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞: As MPs for the area, both I and Lorraine Beavers MP have reached out to the leaders of Wyre Council and Lancashire County Council, seeking urgent clarity on the failure of the local tendering process announced late Friday afternoon, offering to work with the both councils to find a solution.
We have also suggested practical solutions including;
– extending the current contract to ensure a continuity of service
– direct public operation using the council funding instead
– or a short-term bus service until a longer-term solution is found.
We hope to get more detail soon, and that together the councils can save this vital piece of our heritage.
