Dynasty Church have been bringing young people of the Ridge community in Lancaster together through football, growing from 7 to over 30 players in just one year!

In an area of our city with neglected play spaces, the church have stepped in to support youngsters to play 5-a-side at Ambleside Road on the fenced football pitch, but water-logging and vandalism means they need funding for equipment to help keep the fledgling outfit going.

It was fantastic to see some cracking talent on display from the girls (we definitely have the next Millie Bright on our hands!), but as a budding goalkeeper I was more Craig Forrest than Tim Flowers!

But seriously, it was great to meet with Reverend Ayodele and football mission manager Mike Robinson to discuss pitch improvements, funding challenges and opportunities to save the Ridge junior football team, so if anyone wants to lend their support or donate to keep this youth project going, please contact the church at info@thedynastychurch.org.
