On 20th March I wrote to the Environment Agency asking when they will instruct Transwaste to have drastically reduced or eliminated the odour at the Jameson Road landfill site.
They have not responded, and so Lancashire County Councillor Lorraine Beavers and I have now escalated this to the Environment Secretary for his urgent attention and response, and requested to meet with him.
With a 21,000% increase in reports to the Environment Agency, it’s not good enough for them not to respond to our calls for action, and residents deserve better.
