As part of the ongoing saga with the A1 Supa Skips site, with hundreds of tonnes of environmental waste on the Lune Industrial Estate in the Marsh area of Lancaster going up in flames, I challenged O2 months ago to fix the masts, and now following the fire to find a new place for phone masts, including looking at options including Lancaster Cricket Club.

I supported over 100 residents who were customers of O2 to make complaints to the company and seek compensation, and I’m pleased that this has had some positive results with thousands of pounds in compensation being provided to affected residents.

Following the blaze and now being able to access the site, I am pleased that Virgin Media O2 have confirmed that the mast is now fully operational and back in service.

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with me on this, and for all the patience of resident across the marsh area who have had to endure such a terrible time following the fire.
